关于if条件状语从句的美文(if when引导的条件状语从句)

当某些及物动词由于语义的因素需要在其后接用if引导的状语从句时，习惯上要在状语从句前加一个it——这类及物动词主要有enjoy, hate, love, like, dislike, appreciate, prefer等。如：

appreciate it if…

I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't mention it.

如果你不提它，我会很感激。

I would appreciate it if you paid in cash.

假如你支付现金的话，我会不胜感激。

I’d appreciate it if you could drop in tonight. 你今晚来一趟我会很感激。

I’ll appreciate it if you will let me know in advance. 如果你事先让我知道的话，我会很感激的。

I would appreciate it if you would keep me informed. 如蒙你随时向我通报情况，将非常感激。

prefer it if… 希望……；要是……就好了

I would prefer it if you didn't tell anyone.
