A Misunderstanding
1、注意括号内的虚词，切勿逐字翻译写作；
2、时态已经标注在句尾，注意各个时态的构成；
昨天在我身上发生了一件很有趣的事儿。（一般过去时）
An interesting thing happened to me yesterday.
爸爸问我：“你知道字母表（alphabet）里有多少个字母吗？”（过去时直接引语）
My daddy asked me:”Do you know how many letters there are in the alphabet?”
我回答说：“我不知道啊。” 爸爸说：“你不知道？”（过去时直接引语）
I answered:”I don’t know.”Daddy said:”You don’t know?”
“你在（一直）学校学习四年了，”（现在完成进行时）
“You have been studying at school for four years”
“你竟然（unexpectedly）不知道字母表里有多少个字母？”（how引导的从句）
“You unexpectedly don’t know how many letters there are in the alphabet.”
我爸爸非常的气愤。（一般过去时）
My daddy was very angry.
我说：“不，但是让我问你一个问题，你常常去邮局”（过去时直接引语）
I said:”No,but let me ask you a question.You often go to the post office”
“请告诉我邮局里有多少封信!”（ how引导的从句）
“please tell me how many letters there are in that post office!”
